Richard Yaxley

Musician, Artist and Founder of Iceni

Richard is a highly talented individual whose passion for interactive media, art and music is hard wired into his entire human experience. He is a celebrated artist with experience in an array of digital media fields; these include graphic design, motion graphics, the creation of album covers, logos, landscapes, video and editing, music composition, podcasts, voice over artistry, vocals and much, much more. Mike always described him as “one of those annoying people who is just excellent at everything”.

Ric has been a close collaborator of Aurora Eclipse Productions Ltd since day one when he created our logo and initial branding. He has produced the cover artwork for Queen Kong and T. G. F. R. A.R (by Skyquaker) and he not only composed the music, wrote the lyrics and produced Iceni, he also designed and delivered all three covers!

In addition to his work an as artist, Ric has a passion for video games and video game culture spanning 30 years. He participates and engages in podcasts (RDGS), tournaments and events and is well regarded within the UK retrogaming communities. A good starting point for his podcast is the “Aliens Easter Extravaganza” which he produced alongside Gordon King. This episode not only contains great content and coverage of the games, but it is highly considerate of the scores present in all the alien films which struck a chord with us.

Richard runs two Youtube channels where he plays, reviews, opens dialogues and fixes retro video gaming equipment. Be sure to check out and subscribe to both his main RetroRic and live streaming RetroRic-EX channels. You can also find him on Facebook, Twitter, Twitch and Instragram.

Ric is quickly beginning to head the art department at AEPL and we couldn’t be more confident to have him on board. Check out his portfolio below!
