 Introducing Skyquaker

SkyQuaker - UK Rock

Skyquaker

Rock, Avant-garde & Multi-Genre

To the uninitiated, SkyQuaker seems a straight forward rock act. However, upon deeper investigation this could not be further from the truth. SkyQuaker reveals itself as an intense, boundary breaking Avant-garde group whose music is seemingly rooted in Punk, Classical, Hard Rock, Metal, Cinematic, Funk, Jazz, Pop, Dub Reggae and beyond. The more we hear their demos, the depth of fusion, ideas and concepts is seemingly endless. This is something we are somewhat enthusiastic about and Mike can’t wait for an opportunity to contribute musically himself.

We are hoping SkyQuaker’s multi-genre, fusion music will be of interest in Eastern and Western audiences alike; it conveys visual and complex musical forms as the tracks deploy movie-theatre soundscapes, complex atmospherics, voice-over dialogues and spinning 3D sound-effects, swirling vortexes of pounding guitars and vocal wails.

The 3 dimensional movie-soundtrack inspiration stems from the vocalist and main songwriter's (Stephen Hope-Wynne) career as a successful on screen actor (IMDB credits in major game and movie cult-franchise titles as Lara Croft Shadows of the Tomb-Raider and Orwell).

SkyQuaker’s principle guitar player and songwriter Ben ‘Ferdy’ Ford’s heavy-loaded rhythms and virtuoso guitar solos alongside mind-riveting lyrics and music from Hope-Wynne allows for consistent craftsmanship with a dance worthy backline. This being said, the music is warped in utterly unique and emotionally taunting vocal twists and seemingly uncharted improvisations.

When asked about the songwriting process, Steve explains, “I try to shape and create songs as a basis and then hand that entity to other talents like Ferdy to help craft the essence further.”

Aurora Eclipse Productions Ltd have just released SkyQuaker’s second single "Thank God for Rock and Roll”, a quick follow-up to the debut “Queen Kong”. Both singles are available in our Store and via all streaming worldwide streaming platforms!
